The Saturday night healing meeting saw many healed of notable infirmities and then turned into a Baptism of Fire meeting.

Women received a special baptism to enable them to take their place on the order of stadium filling revivalists.

The stage wound up littered with slain people as the Holy Spirit literally filled the place with His power.

There was a special anointing to heal deafness, with many deaf for years and some deaf from birth having their hearing restored by the power of the LORD.

Whatever name you choose (oh how we like to name the things of God) it is clear that God is doing something spectacular in the community of Lakeland Florida.

Canadian Todd Bentley went to Ignited Church in Lakeland on April 3/08 to do a five day series of meetings. While his meetings have always been well attended and helpful to believers, it was obvious early on, that this was not your 'usual' series of meetings.

The five days have now turned into over 50 consecutive days which have seen no less than 50 wheelchairs emptied and claims of 18 people raised from the dead!

In addition there have been literally thousands of people reporting spectacular healings from ruptured disks, cancer, ms, deafness, blindness, chronic pain and nerve loss to name a few.

These meetings have been recognized as truly something special and have been broadcast on God TV live for the last four weeks (or more). Not Your 'Typical' Christian Preacher....

I have never personally spoken with Todd Bentley, I did however attend part of a meeting he did in my hometown in his 'early' days.

I have not followed his ministry nor have I supported him or his ministry until just recently. Frankly I have felt a lot of ministries, Todd's included at some point become like a business with books and tapes being their primary 'product'. 'Their' message or latest revelation becomes the main driver of their ministry and the true ministry of Jesus just seems some how to get lost.

I am not saying this to criticize Todd or any other ministry, it is just a statement of how I view what has happened in North American Christianity over the past few decades. Nothing much that is really tangible has been happening, so we have taken to studying and talking about what God did or was going to do. This perhaps filled the void for the moment, but like eating straw, it gives the feeling of being full without providing any real sustenance.

I remember seeing Todd being interviewed on a Canadian Christian program long before he was known much outside of his hometown. I can remember as I listened to him recounting his salvation and then the intense times of personal intimacy with the LORD, I thought that he was a man truly in love with his LORD. Genuine testimony just shines and shines!

I did not keep track of Todd as I pointed out earlier, nor have I even bought one of his books or tapes. I listened to a tape of Todd's a friend had, and once again his sincerity comes through loud and clear.

Then I heard about this 'revival' in Florida which was being led by Todd Bentley from Canada about four and a half weeks ago. Well, I tuned into God TV and have only missed two nights in the past four and a half weeks. I know it is not as good as being there, but it is the next best thing. The anointing which is obviously on these meetings is unmistakable and it is a pure pleasure and delight to watch a meeting where the man on stage is working in union with the Holy Spirit instead of following his own program or agenda and hoping God will bless it.

Every night is different, yet every night is the same. What do I mean? Well every night the LORD makes His Presence known in a very real and tangible way and every night He performs amazing miracles as He blesses His people. But every night is different because what happens before the blessings is always different, a sure sign the Holy Ghost is in charge and not man!
