For the past few nights while Todd is refreshing and relaxing several friends of Fresh Fire Ministry have been filling in for him. You will notice that the guy leading worship looks a lot like the guy who was preaching last night ... LOL.
This is purely speculation on my part but I suspect that Todd 'took a body blow' with the hatchet job that ABC Nightline did on the revival. Couple that with all the 'christian witchcraft' that is going on right now, and I wonder the guy hasn't just gone back to his pleasant pre-revival ministry. If you want to see God continue with this outpouring you need to be supporting Todd in prayer and interceding on behalf of the outpouring generally.
There is far more opposition to what is happening in Lakeland from the 'Christian' camp than from the non-believers. As usual it is only God's people that cause Him the real grief!
As for the ABC Nightline piece, my only real comment would be 'what else would you expect from a media which is opposed to God'? The 'lead-in' to their piece is factually incorrect which should give an indication of their bias. For example they say that Todd claims to be able to heal people! Well, anyone who has ever listened to Bentley knows he and everyone else gives all the glory to Jesus as the healer and know that of themselves they could not heal a flea.
Secondly they made the comment of 'discovering' Todd's dark past. Discover? They make it sound like Todd has been trying to hide his past, which is nonsense since he openly testified on God TV during the revival, and details of his sordid past are in his own book. Typically they don't see his past as a testimony to the life changing power of the Gospel, they try and skew it and spin it to make it appear as something sinister. Like I said already; 'what else would you expect'.
No, ABC just engaged in 'tabloid' journalism which was never intended to discover truth but simply to reinforce their own anti-God bias. For example, they found a shop owner who did not like what was going on. How hard would it have been to find testimony from people who are happy with what is going on??
The secular press is not controlled by God led people and it should come as no surprise if they try to discredit what is going on at Lakeland Florida right now.
This is simply a very minor set back compared to what is happening among those who call themselves Christian right now. It is clear they are either not genuine Christians as His sheep know His voice or they have never had a real experience with the Holy Spirit because it is clear that the revival is anointed.
In closing, support Todd and his team and the revival in prayer and pray that man will not once again be successful aborting what God would do, if we would get out of His way.
