'George' Gives His Moving Testimonyat Lakeland Revival
Unfortunately I missed the introduction so I only know him as George but I do know his testimony would have touched many hearts who heard it.
I may not have all the details perfectly, so George, if I leave something out, please forgive me.
George is an Arab from Lebanon who was a very successful businessman who could afford every pleasure and luxury money could buy. Until he was 65 power and money and female companionship was the only means of giving his life meaning and purpose.
He had divorced the wife of his youth and the mother of his children years before and one day his 25 year old son showed up and was quite in awe with what his father had accomplished.
Then his son came to the saving knowledge of the LORD Jesus and no longer was impressed with his fathers life of debauchery and deceit. The father thought his son a fool and disowned and persecuted him for two years.
One of his lady friends contacted him and threatened to disclose his illicit affairs to the whole world, this of course would have meant the business and financial ruin of this 'successful' businessman.
Wishing to warn his son of the impending disaster in his life he called him and his son said he knew someone who could help him in his time of trouble. The father was desperate and submitted to his sons prayers and said that if this Jesus could save him from this trouble, he would stop living in sin and would serve Him from then on.
As a banker, he made a contract with the LORD which he intended to honor. The son prayed in the spirit for a time, and then told the father to call the ex girlfriend who was threatening to expose him. Surprise, surprise she had had a change of heart and was no longer threatening to cause George trouble!
On his knees, George accepted the LORD and the forgiveness of sin and stood up a brand new creature!
He left the world of business, went to Bible school, gladly lived in a sparse room and did kitchen chores and served others with a heart of gladness. This was a man who could have lived in a luxurious mansion and still have done pretty much as he pleased. But he was well and truly saved, and was in fact a brand new creation.
He preached the Gospel and gave an altar call which saw at least 100 souls come forward to receive our LORD.
George is now 78 years old and is full of life, men half his age would be envious of. He also ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit and saw many miraculous healings at the hand of the LORD.
Once again, the LORD continued to confirm His Word with many notable healings.
