The LORD Changed His Message Again!
After about two hours of praise and worship, Todd once again took the stage at the Lakeland Revival Healing Outpouring which was now in the 73rd consecutive night!
If you have not been watching these meetings, you are really missing out on 'church'.
Todd was teaching on the true baptism of the Holy Spirit and how speaking in tongues in not what it is to be limited to, however that is what the modern Pentecostal movement has done with the baptism. If that statement bothers your Pentecostal sensibilities then just listen up, remember the LORD did not say you will speak in tongues, but rather you will receive POWER after the Holy Spirit comes upon you.
Todd explained the difference between the power the LORD gave to his 12 disciples when He sent them out to preach the Kingdom, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out devils, and the power He gave them on the day of Pentecost.
The first commissioning the disciples were not baptized in the Holy Ghost, remember the Holy Ghost was not yet given. They were given the authority of the Word spoken by Jesus to do what He told them to do. By the same token, we as believers have that same authority, whether we have received the gifts of healing or not, we are still given His authority.
My comment: since we believe the Word and the Word says we are to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out devils, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead, we should be doing exactly that, not based on how we feel or what results we see. If we really believe this is what Jesus said, we should be obeying what He said. Is this not all part of obeying His commandments? This is a revelation to me as I type this!
Todd went on to preach that on the day of Pentecost, the disciples received power (dunamis) which is wonder working power, which is different from the power He first sent them forth with. They now have the Power 'within' to preach the kingdom, heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead and cast out devils.
Todd then went on to teach how he has gone from one level of faith to another to another, during the ten years of his ministry. In the beginning he did not have the power from the indwelling Jesus, but he did have the belief that Jesus meant what He said when He first commissioned the twelve before the day of Pentecost. He prayed for a thousand on that belief, saw no one healed, undaunted he prayed for another thousand, he of course has seen the results and has gone from praying for pain to leave, to having the faith to pray for the dead to be raised. However, this did not happen in one day.
Unfortunately, I was unable to see all of tonights meeting due to a family emergency, however I believe during the last part of the meeting Todd was going to pray that those in attendance and watching via God TV would receive the Power of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
