Lakeland Revival Continues
as Strong as Ever.A Modern Day Parable
There was a man who was nearly blind in both of his eyes whose good friends took him to Lakeland Florida where he might be healed at the Lakeland Revival.
There he encountered a tattooed man who prayed for him in a most unusual way. He did not follow the usual tradition of the church but in this mans case put his hands on his eyes and said: “BAM, in the name of Jesus SEE!”
He immediately fell to the floor, where he lay for a few moments and when he was helped up he found he could see!
When he went back to his home those who knew him said, ‘is this he who could not see?’ They inquired of him ‘how have you received your sight?’ To which he replied, ‘my friends took me to Lakeland and a tattooed man prayed for me and said ‘BAM, in the Name of Jesus, SEE’ I fell to the floor and then got up seeing!!
They decided they should take him to their religious leaders as this seemed a most unusual way to heal someone who had been blind!
The religious leaders asked how he had received his sight. He said this tattooed man prayed for me and said ‘BAM, in the Name of Jesus SEE’, I fell to the ground and when I got up I could see!
Some of the religious leaders said ‘this tattooed man can not be of God for he was not ordained in one of our institutions! Others said, “how can anyone who is not a man of God do such miracles and there was division among them.
The religious leaders decided they could not believe this man had actually been blind and so called for the mans parents to witness about his sight.
The mans parents testified that indeed this was their son, and that he had been blind but as to how he could now see, they could not say.
Then the religious leaders said to the man to give God the praise, as they knew it could not be the tattooed man as he was not one of them and indeed he was a sinner or even worse!
The blind man answered ‘whether or not the tattooed man is a sinner, I can not say, but this one thing I do know, whereas I was blind and now I see.
